EXCLUSIVE HARI RAYA CELEBRATION FOR 100 ORPHANAGE CHILDREN

It's Thursday evening, how's everyone doing? Here's an update on a meaningful festive I attended yesterday.

In celebration of Syawal, leading pharmacy, health and beauty retailer Guardian Malaysia held an exclusive Aidilfitri celebration for 100 children from three orphanages across the Klang Vallery. The delightful evening of fun, festivity and food brings smile to the children, the event was held at The Place, One City.

As part of the programme, the children were also treated to learning the traditional art of ketupat weaving. Many enjoyed having their caricature drawn by an artist, took wefies at the event photo wall, as well as redeemed free movie tickets sponsored by MCT Berhad.

Can you spot the former 3R TV hosts?

The children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan and Perlindungan Nur Qaseh Malaysia, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Al-Nasuha, and Pusat Jagaan Baitus Sakinah Wal Mahabbah enjoed a festive fare of sayur lodeh, rendang, serunding, lemang, ketupat, and traditional desserts such as dodol and wajik.

Marketing Director of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd, Christina Low presented each home with RM10,000 in Guardian vouchers, which can be used to redeem essential items such as toiletries, personal care and hygiene products, pharmaceutical items as well as medical aid for the children.

The evening was further accentuated with festive entertainment and antics by celebrities that included songstress and businesswoman Dato' Siti Nurhaliza, singer and actor Sean Ghazi, host Nazrudin Rahman, actor and singer Aiman Hakim Ridza, former radio announcers JD and Dilly, as well as formers 3R TV hosts - Masterchef Asia Celina Khor, scripwriter Rafidah Abdullah and Director of iM4U FM Kartini Kamalul Ariffin.

I can see the orphanage children happy together in the night, some of them are cuddling the cute pink bears too. Each pink bear has a message penned for them.

At the Grand Ballroom foyer where the event was held, guests and medias were invited to dedicate Raya wishes to the children. Many penned motivational messages aimed at inspiring them. Aidilfitri Bersama Guardian is part of Guardian Malaysia's long-standing Corporate Social Responsibility efforts to give back to the communities they conduct business in.

Thank you Guardian Malaysia for inviting us to Aidilfitri Bersama Guardian.
