Empire Subang Hotel:Kitchen Art Brasserie’s Pembuka Sajian Desa Dinner Buffet this festive season from 17th May to 14th June

A festive atmosphere with a feast of Malay traditional cuisine and Chef signature specials is what you can expect at Kitchen Art Brasserie’s Pembuka Sajian Desa Dinner Buffet this festive season from 17th May to 14th June.

Diners and guests will experience the festivity the minute they arrive at the Kitchen Art Brasserie with live music by the Seri Alam Ghazal Band that can be heard throughout Empire Hotel Subang’s lobby on Level 2 where the restaurant is located.

Executive Chef Zuraidi Zulkaflee and his team of Chefs are set to thrill our taste buds with Signature favourites Aromatic Jintan Chicken, Balinese Whole Lamb, Itik Salai Cili Api, Sup Gear Box and Ayam Penyet - featured in its extensive spread throughout the promotional period.
Ayam Penyet
Inspired by the taste of classic Malay cuisine from the states of Malaysia, Kitchen Art Brasserie’s Pembuka Sajian Desa menu aims to offer diners the experience of authentic Malay cuisine. The menu will also feature Classic Malay dishes Nangka Masak Lemak, Ayam Percik Kelantan, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu, Bubur Lambok, Siput sedut masak lemak bersama Pisang Muda and more in its spreads as well as house favourites Briyani Kambing, Nasi Briyani Gam, Murtabak and Satay. The menu will also be rotated to provide variety for diners throughout the period.

Over the past few years, Kitchen Art Brasserie gained popularity for its Sup Gearbox – a not to be missed dish every year during this festive period. Sup Gear Box is made with large chunks of beef bones cooked in a broth with spices in a slow boil process that tenderizes the meat releasing its natural beefy flavour to infuse with the broth’s spices and herbs. Diners eating Sup Gearbox can often be seen using a straw to enjoy the juicy goodness from the tastiest, ‘difficult-to-reach’ hollow parts of the bones.

This year will see new additions – Aromatic Jintan Chicken and Itik Salai Cili Api to its list of signature specials. Aromatic Jintan Chicken, a mildly spicy chicken dish cooked in aromatic spices and chili paste is a relatively new dish that has only recently been regularly featured at Kitchen Art Brasserie and has fast become a favourite. Itik Salai Cili Api, another signature favourite featured in the Pembuka Sajian Desa menu is a classic Malay dish originating from Negeri Sembilan.

For those with a sweet tooth, an irresistible array of local favourites Kuih Lompang, Kuih Seri Muka, Kuih Wajid, Lepat Ubi, Pulut Inti Kelapa are among sweet treats included in its desserts spread.

PINKFONG BABY SHARK ICE CREAM & MINI CONCERT

Good day to all my reader and visitor, it's been a very hot day. I love to eat ice cream during hot day and even my kids love them too. Now there's PinkFong Baby Shark Ice Cream, do you know of the Baby Shark Doo Doo Doo? It is kids' favourite song, I got to know this from youngest son he started showing me video on youtube and sing along.

We are so happy that we can enjoy the PINKFONG Baby Shark Ice Cream in Malaysia, we love the delicious strawberry flavour ice holly with milk flavoured filling. Yeah, it taste so yummy that I have purchased more to keep in freezer at home. You can find the ice cream available in-stores nationwide now. It is RM1.90 for one PINKFONG Baby Shark Ice Cream.

Say no more as we had more surprises for us last week, were you by any chance at One Utama Shopping Centre last week? There was a PINKFONG & Baby Shark Mini Concert which was on 26 April 2018 to 29 April 2018 at High Street where we found more PINKFONG Baby Shark Ice Cream. Indeed it was a great experience that made me and my boys enjoy every single moment of the concert. It’s also considered as fun learning experience for the kids and they can sing-along together with the lyrics on the screens. Something a little like this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRJGnJi6N1M

That evening was truly a memory to keep; The Baby Shark mini concert from start to end was very knowledgeable; do check out my video above. I was told tickets were sold out too. Besides watching the show, we also enjoyed the PINKFONG Baby Shark ice cream, it was selling at a buy 1 free 1 during that weekend.

Memorial Heart Cut-out Garden Stepping Stone

Loving Cat Memorials
To most families, losing precious cats is a heart-breaking and emotional occurrence, and they want to have one of the many beautiful feline memorials that exist to honor the beloved pet in a long-lasting way to also be a reminder of the treasured shared memories.

You can choose from a wide variety of personalized stones, plaques, statues, and other objects to immortalize the departed pet and offer peace, comfort, and a lasting reminder during the times when the beloved “family member” is terribly missed.

Here are just a few ideas:

Garden Statues
Commemorating your special feline companion in a garden setting is the most beautiful of all your choices. There are outstanding statues, monuments, plaques, stones, garden benches, or even water fountains that can feature details and/or a picture of your pet. Many will have a personalized nameplate where a name and dates can be engraved and perhaps an angel with wings and a golden halo and with a phrase such as “Run free now, go play with the angels.”

Pawprints In Heaven Memorial Marker
Made of weather-resistant cast resin stone, the marker can be personalized with any title usually up to 12 characters, the name up to 12 characters, a message up to 15 characters, and perhaps a photo. The marker features the phrase “Pawprints in Heaven, Pawprints on my Heart.”

Memorial Heart Cut-out Garden Stepping Stone
Crafted of durable resin or weathered cement, a large round 12-inch decorative stepping stone or wall plaque has a realistic stone texture and a heart cutout. The pet remembrance can usually be personalized with a name up to 22 characters and any two numeric years.

Loving Friend, Memorial Pet Cat Statue
Sculpted with a cat having angel wings and a fluffy tail, this tribute is made of designer resin with a finish of faux stone. It will help to preserve treasured memories as you see it anywhere including along a garden path, on a bookshelf or a windowsill, or in any honored location.

Seeing the World with Tiny Tots in Tow

There are few countries where traveling with children can prove to be an enjoyable and memorable trip, and Vietnam is one of them

Traveling with young children may not be easy, but it certainly does not have to be intimidating. One of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has no shortage of sights and activities that will entertain even the most discerning of travellers, including the young ones.

Apart from the vibrant cities of Ho Chi Minh (south) and Hanoi (north), which are great starting points for any Vietnamese family adventure, there are several other destinations that could make your holiday an extremely memorable one.

Families can head to one of Vietnam’s beach resorts in Hoi An or Danang, which have plenty to offer in terms of beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurants and lots of fun activities for children. Some of the best beach resorts in the country are located in Danang, although the Cua Dai beach close to Hoi An is also a popular vacation spot. There are also plenty of other beaches in Vietnam’s central and south coasts worth exploring.

Hoi An also offers some unique sightseeing opportunities. Centuries-old Buddhist pagodas, temples, quaint museums and colonial shophouses line the streets of this ancient town. One of
the best ways for you to soak in the rich culture and heritage as a family is by cycling through the streets of Hoi An.

For the more adventurous families, there are spectacular mountains and jungle treks from the peaceful hill station of Dalat in the south, to the beguiling valley of Sa Pa in the northern highlands. The mountainous countryside of Sa Pa – close to the border with Yunan province in China – offers charming trekking trails for some amazing hikes; rice terraces and waterfalls; and is home to several ethnic minority tribes.
Cap off the Vietnamese holiday in the modern and bustling metropolitan of Ho Chi Minh City. Among the not-to-be-missed attractions is the Suoi Tien Cultural Amusement Park in District 1. The Buddhist-themed attraction is fitted with colourful statues of mythical creatures as well as edifices and shrines of Buddha amidst waterslides, rollercoaster rides, a 4D theatre and aquarium!

Of course, as in any foreign city, a sampling of local street food and visit to the local markets are a must. Kids generally enjoy Vietnamese cuisine as they are flavourful and rarely spicy. From a warm bowl of traditional Vietnamese pho (noodle soup) and banh mi (Vietnamese sandwish) to steamed Banh bao (steamed pork buns) and Banh Xeo (Vietnamese crepe), there are plenty of kid-friendly foods in Vietnam.

Browse along the family-run shops and stalls lining the sidewalks of the city, for a truly authentic experience. Alternatively, visiting the Ben Thanh Market will also give you a taste of the energy and flavor of Ho Chi Minh to complete your memorable holiday experience.

With the school holidays coming up in June and August, planning your next family holiday is now made easier as Vietjet, the fast-growing Vietnamese airline, is currently offering irresistible promotions on its domestic and international network as part of its summer 2018 promotion.

From 9 – 11 May 2018, two million promotional tickets from as low as USD0 will be up for grabs during the golden window of 1pm to 3pm daily. The promotion is applicable on Vietjet’s domestic and international routes to South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and Cambodia within the travel period of 20 August to 31 December 2018 (excluding national holidays).
