YB Datuk HJ. Ahmad Bin HJ. Maslan, Deputy Finance Minister Malaysia visited MYDIN USJ, Subang Jaya towards preparation implementation Goods Service Tax (GST) and campaign in conjunction 'Gerenti Semua MYDIN Tanggung' (GSMT), Harga Tak Naik! Which means 'Guarantee All Bear by MYDIN' (GSMT), Price Will Not Increase!"
As wholesale company and native own retail, MYDIN is committed to ease the burden of consumer in line with slogan commerce MYDIN that's 'Why Pay More? Buy With Wholesale Prices!' 'Mengapa Bayar Lebih? Belilah Dengan Harga Borong!'.
MYDIN bold action in one campaign as Kempen Gerenti Semua MYDIN Tanggung (GSMT).
In generally, this campaign is establish because to look after welfare interest of consumers so that the consumers will not feel burden with actual concept of GST later.
Steps taken by MYDIN this is the first step taken by retail and wholesale traders to scale in Malaysia to correct the perception that people thought that the purchasing power of consumers will be affected by the implementation of the GST because of bulk goods relatively more expensive on the market.
GSMT campaign is a step that is accurate and not mere rhetoric. it will be implemented in the branches MYDIN, MYMYDIN and KR1M throughout Malaysia.
Datuk Wira (Dr.) Hj. Ameer Ali bin Mydin, Managing Director Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd, explains that it is very important for consumers to realize MYDIN especially low-income earners are entitled to enjoy purchasing goods at affordable prices despite the country's economic policy changes eg GST. Many users assume that the implementation of GST will burden them because consumers will pay a surplus of 6% of the selling price in the market.
Implementation GSMT campaign also aims to maintain the existing prices in Supermarkets MYDIN compatible with the campaign slogan GSMT that's "Harga Tak Naik".
GST future post, consumers are still able to buy the same goods jumping on rates as the pre-GST in MYDIN. For example, if before GST, consumer purchased 10 items in MYDIN with payment of RM300, after the implementation of the GST later, consumer still can buy the 10 items and paying the same price of RM300 in MYDIN!
GST campaign designed by MYDIN not only well received by users and has got good support and a collective of ministries and government agencies. In yesterday newspaper section of "New Straits Times", "consumers have the right to buy and choose" this clearly illustrates the usability principles that every consumer has the right to buy the business premises offering affordable prices.
In conclusion, the GST is a tax system that is more transparent, effective, efficient, effective and customer friendly. With the user can know the GST tax imposed even they only only one rate of 6%. It is the hope of all people, especially to those users will continue to be welcoming and always support the implementation of the GST.
