4 Reasons to Consider Having Your Baby in a Birth Center

Having a baby is an exciting time. For many women, however, the thought of giving birth in a hospital can be frightening. If having your baby in a Tampa Bay hospital makes you feel scared or anxious, you may be wondering what to do. There are other options available, including a tampa bay birth center. Here are four reasons to consider a birthing center.

Greater Comfort

A hospital setting can be nerve-wracking. Rooms at a birth center are designed to be more relaxing and comforting, which helps you to feel more comfortable. The rooms are more private. You can also create a personalized birth plan, which helps you to have the birth you’ve always dreamed of.

More Opportunities for Bonding

In many hospitals, babies are immediately taken to be examined and cleaned. While some allow for immediate skin-to-skin contact, this is not the case with all. In a birth center, you receive your baby immediately and are given some time to cuddle and breastfeed your baby before an exam is performed.

Support with Breastfeeding

Birth centers encourage breastfeeding right from the start. While some mothers have no issues, many mothers struggle in the beginning, which can lead even the most determined mothers to quit. Birth centers offer support for those who are having trouble, which can help to increase your chances for a successful breastfeeding relationship.

Lower Cost

The average cost of an uncomplicated birth is expensive, especially without insurance. The cost can increase to significantly when you factor in pre and postnatal care. The cost of having a baby in a birth center is typically around half the cost of giving birth in a hospital.
Having a baby doesn’t mean that you have to give birth in a hospital. Consider your options and speak with your obstetrician or midwife to help determine the best option for you.

Most valuable for lactating mothers: Check out BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken

Over 100 pharmacists from leading pharmacy chains along with other invited guests discovered “The Science Behind BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken” in a recent 2-day interactive dialogue session that was led by Senior Scientist BRAND’S® Suntory International, Dr. Jack Wong Jing Lin.

According to Dr. Wong, drinking BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken is not only good for the body and mind which reduces tiredness and improves concentration, but gives precious benefits that are most valuable for lactating mothers.

“BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken has been widely studied and supported by over 40 international scientific papers and clinical studies and it is also proven to improve the quality of colostrum and helps to boost up the quantity of breast milk.” explained Dr. Wong.

“In addition to that, knowing that Malaysian’s staple food are mostly white rice and bread, we have research showing that consumption of BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken together with white rice or bread helped reduce glycaemic response. This could be beneficial to people who are concerned about their blood sugar level.” he summarized.

BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken has long been a favourite based on trust and experience, especially among the older generation. Today’s consumers, however, are more discerning and need hard evidence for them to believe in a product that is safe and beneficial to be consumed.

During the session, the participants were also introduced to the new BRAND’S® Lutein Essence by Dr. Tan Zhen Wei, Senior Scientist BRAND’S® Suntory International. BRAND’S® Lutein Essence is the only health tonic in the market that has been developed based on science and has been proven to increase macular pigment in the eyes which is essential in filtering blue light.

“Malaysians spend an average of almost 14 hours a day on digital devices with 89% engaged with digital devices once awake and before sleep. BRAND’S® Lutein Essence helps to protect the eyes from over exposure to blue light through prolonged usage of electronic devices which can lead to various digital eye strain such as eye fatigue, dry eyes and blurred vision.” said Dr. Tan.

BRAND’S® Lutein Essence contains two important nutrients for eyes which are Lutein and Zeaxanthin, both of which have been proven to increase macular pigment in the eyes which is essential in filtering blue light.

The forum was led by BRAND’S® Suntory International Senior Scientist, Dr. Jack Wong Jing Lin who will be sharing the new benefits of consuming BRAND’S® Essence of Chicken on breastfeeding and how it helps maintain lower Glycemic response, in addition to other scientifically proven benefits. Joining him at the event will be Dr. Tan Zhen Wei, Senior Scientist BRAND’S® Suntory International, who introduce and talk about the new BRAND’S® Lutein Essence.

BRAND’S® products are scientifically based and have been researched and published in various journals. BRAND’S® will now take it further by creating an online information resource by launching BRAND’S® Health Enrichment Centre website (www.BHEcentre.com), next month. The site aims to translate scientific knowledge into practical health and lifestyle resources to help health care professionals and consumers to be in their optimal health.

My LOVE towards my kids

Being mommy of two boys, they are hands full! I am ectopic mommy, I had my right fallopian tube remove because gynae said it its not remove I might need to have second surgery! It is gift of God, I am having two wonderful boys.

I have learn that I cannot be selfish, it is family first now and I don't spend all on myself anymore. Children needs formula milk powder and diapers. I have not breastfeeding my youngest boy anymore, he's going to be two year old this June. I am lack of breast milk so best for him would be formula milk powder. I never regret breastfeeding my eldest boy for three and half year.

I would be thinking twice or triple before I shop anything, frankly speaking I am shopping for my boys more. I purchased books for him to learn and practice, I will check on the price if there is promotion it would be even better.
