Beautiful sunset at Amverton Cove Gold Island Resort

It's November and it's Thursday, evening and raining here. Just sharing with you last month we went for a short vacation at Amverton Cove Golf Island Resort. Today supposed to be a media trip that I can follow to go for Lost World of Tambun but not able to make it as it's an important day today to meet with teachers on son's education. Not just today the last media invitation also been rejected as it clashed with children's report card day. Last media invitation was to Legoland Malaysia.

The 28 October Friday, was an unlucky day for me, I have got a car accident. The 4 wheels truck hit the Toyota Vios and Toyota Vios hits my car. I was on the way to fetch my youngest son from kindergarten. I didn't make it to fetch him, I called sister-in-law about this and lucky that niece was at home she can help to fetch my son. My parents in law were here too, it's also the day they went back to hometown together with niece. At the moments, my car is not repair yet, the police report is RM34 and it showed that the driver's fault is the 4 wheels truck.

Next year gonna be a busy year for me and the kids as son will be Standard Six and youngest son is Standard One in Primary School. Besides busy he is busy tuition at school, he is also tuition outside. Got to balance the life of education having entertainment and also exercise for healthy living. No doubt I got to spend time for myself too, got to see how and make arrangement for it, perhaps pampering time, etc. I didn't have a transporter for my children as it is calculate by per person the payment for a way, both ways will be different payment and not yet include the outside tuition location to send. Now you know why there's a lot of calculation to do.

Few years back I followed the media trip as my dear's working nearer to home and able to fetch sons. But he's further away now and unable to help me to fetch them if I go, there's rider available now which I can pay if there's places I need to go. But then I need to consider about the children first like there's tuition or not and the time is suitable or not. There's lot to consider as a mom, not just parenting but also lifestyle of children.

By the way, anyone has got a good car workshop in Subang Jaya to recommend? 

School holiday is almost over

It's still TGIF now, tomorrow is Saturday and then next day is Sunday. Sons will need go back to school and kindergarten on Monday. Exam soon and parents are the one that are nervous instead of children.

We have no plan on next school holiday. Sons wanted to go Legoland but we don't think it's the right time to go for now. We still need to save money for that and it's school holiday time the rooms are more expensive.

My friend has the vouchers for Swiss Garden Hotel, but sad to say it is suitable for just one location to use. The terms and conditions are stated cannot be used during school holiday and cannot be used on the Friday and the weekends. So this just make parents to make their children to skip their lessons? That's bad! We are not going to do that for the sake for going for a vacation with children.

Haze irritates my skin

It's Monday but the haze is so bad today that I can feel my skin itchy. Wait there, is more also feeling itchy my hair and back of my body. Uneasy feeling making it just want to say indoor, my eyes also itchy, so we have mask for our eyes?

The photo above taken using my Samsung phone before around 1.40pm. I waited son to finish his class near school. I just couldn't stand the haze, once I step out of home or car I feel it's not right.

Not just that so the haze also makes me want to eat less. Losing my appetite to eat but drink more water.

While having tea time with my friends in nearby restaurant, the man seating behind of me nonstop smoking.

My son told me why haze so bad and people still to smoke?

How about tomorrow? Is it going to worsen?

Son not being careful in class

Not long ago my son not being careful in class, his hand injured by the sharp corner of the white board. He says he cried in class, teacher brings him to office to put medication on his hand. 

This happened in 21 May, 2014 as I have informed dear about this. 

This gives him a scar on his hand. 

Another incident happened at tuition center, a standard three boy which is a year older than uses finger's nail to scratch his nose. It leaves leave cut to his nose. This happened in August. 

These were the days he told me he cried because it hurt so much.

Mom or Dad a better teacher?

Who is a better teacher at home, mom or dad? I find that my dear can teaches son better than me. The other day I needed dear's help to guide son on the Chinese spelling, the next day son brings home 100 mark on the Chinese spelling. Wow, that's awesome!

Dear knows the way to teach him better than me. I find that son's getting lazy with me and he's more hard working when dear's around him.

It's exam week for this week and next week, education is getting tougher or harder. Many parents now rely on tuition teachers. It's great if you can teach your own child, you save lot money from going to tuition.

Movie: In The Dark (mandarin)

Another scary movie to scare you in cinema, it's In The Dark a mandarin movie. This movie I saw the thriller it's quite scary, they used the board or paper with Chinese words on it to move a small bowl with their finger moving around to ask the ghost questions about how many of them there, are they male or female.

I won two movie passes to watch this but sad to say, the movie screening the time not suitable or the cinema not near to me.

I remembered something bad happened in my school, back then in primary school. The headmaster told the school children don't play anything like that. Some thing bad happened to a child, we not sure what happened, he never says anything about what happened to the boy or girl. The headmaster just warning children not to play it, so young children started playing this without their parents around? I don't know, but is best we watch out our children no matter what we are doing or where we are.

Now we know CCTVs are important to install in homes, when you are not around. You don't know what's going on at home while you are at work.

e-learning in Malaysia

Do you know there is e-learning in Malaysia? Some people may find it is new but not for me. I heard of it before that e-learning it is available in Malaysia. Today a young man walked up to me in primary school, saying that he's one of the best students from a school. He has brochure in hand to explain about advantage of e-learning in Malaysia.

Sad to tell you that his brochure does not have the website address. Do you know what he said to me? Look up for why score A programme which is on the second page of the brochure. I don't know how they are being trained to sell or offer their services if they didn't even know their business website address.

Do you think everyone is so free to call up to inquiry?

Tuition center every where

Being mommy of two boys, I need to find time to teach my son for homework and spelling plus other activities book which I purchased. I find that now they are many tuition centers. Each having their specialty and claiming they are the best etc. Do you think primary school students are too early to send for tuition center?

Some parents prefer two in one center which offer tuition and daycare. Some parents prefer one to one tuition for better guidance or result. Some parent with prefer center which is nearer to their home. Individual parent with different mind set.

Working parents would like to know where their children be and take care. I am not sure no parent want their children to be left behind.

I am sure parents would compare each center before decision on which tuition center to go. It also depends on the price of fee, some tuition centers request half year of tuition fee.

This will relate where the money we earning goes to.

We just want the best for our children.

My childhood scar

Above my childhood scar, the white patch skin you looking at is the scar!

I believe scars, we all have it. But some scars, deeper than others.

Above is my childhood car, my left knee injury during childhood. I can never forget because I fell down several times from the hill while chasing the school bus. Same injury over and over again, I can even remembered the pain and feel the flesh of knee's injury. I can remember washing the wound is painful, the cotton would be sticking on the wound. It took so long for my wound to heal, almost healing then I fell down again.

It is skin deep because I can touch the flesh of my knee, my mom was complaining why I am so clumsy. The school bus came early morning and I was late, I running down the hill slope and fall down badly. I was bleeding while board the school bus.

The injury to my knee happened over and over again for few times. How can forget such incidents?

Replacement class for the haze three days!

I didn't get the chance to read newspaper yesterday but this morning son's classmate mom told me there is replacement class for haze days that children didn't attend during the haze. The three Saturdays replacement class fall on 1st this Saturday, 2nd 3 Aug, 3rd on 24 August.

I am not sure if second day count as son's school has school during that day!

Anyway hope to get the school notice by today for detail.

2.0 Mechanical Pencils for children in school

Let me know what you think of above mechanical pencils. Yeah you are looking at 2.0 Mechanical pencils, the stationeries are made in China. I find them easier for use and long lasting than the 0.5 Mechanical pencils. You may not be agree with me but my son is using this in class. He says some of his classmates also using mechanical pencils.

I let him use the 0.5 mechanical pencils but I find the leads broken easier and faster. I don't know of this 2.0 mechanical pencils until friends inform me.

I am happy to say that he's happy using them. One thing I don't like is I find that it is hard to sharpen the lead.

My old times, I only use 0.5 mechanical pencils. Now we know 2.0 mechanical pencils exist!

 

Bullies in class throwing son's things in dustbin

It is sad to know that there is naughty children in class, they are only seven years old but they already behaviour like they are gangster. Some classmates even asked my son for money, the boy will go around asking classmate for money everyday. He's not only asking from boys but girls too.

Today another mom complains to me that her son's stationery goes missing, he's not alone. Her son's things were thrown inside the dustbin! I found out most parents are busy with their work; they let the children go for daycare or tuition after school.

I don't know how often the parents talk to their children about how's their education and getting along with classmates or not. My son used to tell me he's crying everyday in school because of the bullies. Bullies in class not only boys but girls too.

I need a movie break!

Yes tonight are my dear and I going for the first movie in this year 2013, yes I am very happy and excited but let's see how it goes as we haven't been to TGV One Utama before. How about you?

I am going to have a quick update now because I need to go school soon, my son wants me to be there during his break! I am not sending any food to him as I have given him money to purchase food. He spends $1 on an apple drink, and $1 on a pack of popcorn! His first time hands on buying things for himself, I am proud of him. I gave him a wallet with his name and class detail inside, just in case it got missing.

I don't know if I am able to see him today, they will be many mommies and guardian there to stand and recess time very crowded! No kidding yesterday I only manage saw his hair?! LOL

Okay got to run, need find parking near the school. I am not sure if I am coming back after his break, I might just hang out there until he's off from school!

Trollery bag for children in Primary School

Are you a mommy with children in Primary School? I would like to hear from you. Do you use trolley bag for your children to go Primary School? Today I went to Parkson to have a look and found there's 60% sales on trolley bag. I bought the trolley bag of Mickey Mouse for my son who going to start Primary School next year.

Do you standby any trolley bag in case the trolley bag broken? Bear in mind that trolley bag is never cheap. My friend just redeem a trolley bag free using her credit card points. It is good for her since she has credit card and she pay the payment back in time.

I saw many types of trolley bag for children namely Thomas and Friends, Transformers, Spiderman, and trolley bags for girls that comes in pink colour. :D
