Guardian launches BYOB Campaign


The morning I took KTM from Subang Jaya to KL Sentral and we took bus to Dataran Pahlawan Megamall, Malacca. In support of Malaysia Environment Week (Minggu Alam Sekitar), Guardian Health and Beauty (Guardian) launches its 'Bring Your Orange Bag' or 'BYOB' campaign in Malacca.

In conjunction with the occasion, a series of three reusable bags, exclusively designed for Guardian were revealed to an excited media and audience.

The Guardian BYOB campaign was created from funds collected from its participation in a nationwide ministry initiative, the No Plastic Bag Day Campaign.

The bags are named Trust, Passion and Inspiration.

Named Trust, the first bag to be released the reliability of Guardian's available health products.
The second bag, Passion, represents confidence and beauty from the wide range of beauty products.
Third bag, Inspiration best describes the fun, overall well-being and positive-living gained from Guardian's assorted lifetstyle accessories.

Present the launch was Malaysian actress and host, Deanna Yusoff, who shared with the audience her environmental-friendly shopping habits. She has been practicing using reusable bags for many years.

During the event, Guardian's Final Challenge which involved a find-the-word-puzzle.
A total of 10 contestants selected from BYOB's 4-day Facebook contest took part in the Final Challenge in Malacca. Prior to the launch, Final Challenge contestants were asked to guess the acronym 'BYOB'. Total 8 contestants that present on launch at the day.

The Final Challenge winner received RM500 worth of Guardian vouchers, a hamper valued at RM200, and an exclusive goodie bag. Other prizes included RM100 Guardian shopping vouchers and goodies bags. Each finalists also received an exclusive photo and autograph session with Deanna Yusoff.

As part of the grand launch, Guardian stores in Malacca received an early-release of the Trust bag.
The nationwide release will be spread over a three-week period, beginning 29 October to 4 November 2015 for Trust.
This will be followed by Passion, from 5 November to 11 November 2015; and finally Inspiration from 12 to 18 November 2015.

During this period, a total of 150,000 reusable bags await lucky shoppers.
You will get this bag for free of charge with every purchase of RM80 and above on a single receipt, and a limited to one (1) bag per transaction. 
CIMB cardholders will be eligible for a special privilege of a one bag with every minimum purchase of RM60 on a single receipt. The bags will be available at all Guardian outlets nationwide.

Good news if you love contest, to participate simply submit a selfie with any of the BYOB bags, hashtag #GuardianBYOB and follow @GuardianMalaysia on instagram to be one of 80 winners for the best picture. The selected pictures will win a RM80 Guardian Gift Certificate.

The contest will run from 22 October to 18 November 2015.

  4. I wish they can make a nicer and stronger bag.. nowadays these recyclable bags can be pretty fragile.. the handles come off easily and this makes us have to throw the bag away as well... so it does not quite serves the purpose right.... sighhh
