Tourism Malaysia launches Tourism Information Centre at KidZania Kuala Lumpur

Speeby by Susanah Abdul Rani, Gabenor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

It's Saturday, school holiday almost over for June. Afraid not as now you can still plan for your school holiday. Tourism Malaysia has launches Tourism Information Centre (TIC) at KidZania Kuala Lumpur.

Gracing the event was YB Tam Sri Dr. Ong Hong Peng.

Working together with Tourism Malaysia as a smart partner, this mini Tourism Malaysia TIC aims to instill the interest of traveling in children, particularly domestic travel. It will be fun for them as even my son been asking about domestic travel. It is also meant to grow the interest amongst children in planning family vacations to domestic destinations and most importantly, to educate the importance of the tourism industry to children at an early age.

The concept of the Tourism Malaysia TIC revolves around kids being in an environment similar to an actual Tourism Malaysia TIC, with activities such as creating tour packages and tour itineraries. Kids will be exposed to local destinations and learn to create detailed planned holiday travels. Activities such as these would assist participating kids in developing and organizing their strategic and creative thinking skills.

The establishment of this TIC in KidZania is a great platform to educate the young generation about the important role of tourism in the nation's economy.

During the event, I have also capture some video of dance performance, click on the link to view

As KidZania is a city for children, a named the 'Best Experience for Kids' in Expatriate Lifestyle's Best of Malaysia Awards 2014 for the second consecutive year running, KidZania Kuala Lumpur continously look at opportunities to expose children to new experiences and endless smart partnerships.
