GUARDIAN GIVES GARFIELD ON-THE-GO, SPREAD BACK-TO-SCHOOL AND FESTIVE CHEER

On 29 December 2015, I was invited to attend the year-end luncheon specially organized for the children from three homes in the Klang Valley. Peter Dove, CEO of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd and the senior management of Guardian Malaysia, played the host on the day.

The children aged 7 to 17 from Grace Community Services, Good Samaritan Home and Parents without Partners, enjoyed a scrumptious lunch and an afternoon of fun-filled activities put together just for them by Guardian Malaysia.
Buffet spread luncheon awaiting them for the special luncheon day and also face painting where they to choose the face painting that they preferred. There were also activities awaiting them to take part together. It's good time everyone is having at the event.
To celebrate the season of giving with 100 underprivileged children on the special day, presenting each child with exclusive Garfield On-the-Go backpacks, trolley bags and schooling necessities. Next week the school is starting, its good to give them the backpacks so they can get ready to back to school.

The Garfield On-the-Go items are available exclusively at Guardian, which recently launched a redemption programme.

Christine Low, Marketing Director of Guardian Malaysia, said the programme had gained incredible traction since it began in November, and the Company is constantly on the lookout for ways to reward customers and improve their shopping experience at Guardian.

Spend RM243.40 on my car battery

This morning when I start the car engine, it's not working. My dear opened the car bonnet to check. I called the Tayar Shop in the morning it was round 8.45am. They are opened in the morning and asked me to wait around 15 minutes as they will send someone over to change the car battery.

It is RM230 for the Myvi Century car battery. Price after inclusive of GST is RM243.40. This month I spend quite a lot money on my car. Just last week I have my car serviced and it cost nearly RM500. I was told that I need to change the car's 4 tayar because they are over due 2 years. Do you know that we are supposed to change car tyre every 3 years? I don't know that, so means that my car's tyres are 5 years old. It would be about RM800 more or less depend type of tyre to change.

I haven't change the tyres, I am still looking if there's any good deal around.

Tuition centres for son

Parenting is never easy, part of it would be guiding children in education. I find that my son needs better guidance from tuition teachers as he lack of listening to me if I guide him. Next year he is Standard 4, it's getting tougher for him.

Instead of daycare tuition centre, he will be going to tuition centres instead. Hope this would help him in his studies. He is poor in Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Cina. I tried asking for tuition centres near the school, somehow they only prefer children with better grades or good grades. Yeah they told me that they will prefer to accept children who gain 60 and above in their exams. They have one class with more than 27 students. My son is poor in comprehension (karangan) for both languages of BM and Chinese.

I found two tuition centers away from home which is 5km away. One tuition center is main focus to tuition him on Chinese language that he is poor. I was told that he might need to downgrade to Standard 3 tuition if he cannot catch up in Standard 4 tuition. Well, we'll know about this when the school start as the tuition centre will need to see his process in class, to see if he can catch up or not. I understand as it's important that he needs to read more and write more in Chinese as I know it's not his favourite subject.

Many parents told me that daycare tuition centre is not good for children as they cannot learn from there. Son told me that his daycare tuition centre changes of tuition teachers several times, most teachers are SPM leavers as they are going to go college soon.

Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Potatoes at AEON BIG Stores

Do you like to eat pears and sweet potatoes? If yes, you gonna like to eat Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Poatoes.

Few days ago I attended the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Association (Zen-Noh) - the truested and reliable go - between linking producers and consumers in Japan - launched two of its products Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Potatoes at Mid Valley's AEON BIG Store.
From left Mr Mitsuru Nakata, Managing Director of AEON BIG with the VIPS.
Currently you can these fruits selling at major hypermarkets store, these two purely Japanese-
grown agricultural produce.

With the growing popularity of healthy and clean eating in Malaysia,
Zen-Noh - in collaboration with Eurofarm, Malaysia's leading fruits and vegetables importer and exporter - were excited to expose local market to the high - quality, carefully - tended and innovative agricultural produce that Japan has to offer.

My son on the left photo holding the Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Potatoes on the right photo.

Nikkori Pear, a new late maturing, russet-skin type cultivar of Japanese pear produced from the Tochigi prefecture is a new type of pear developed from cross seedlings between full-figured Niitaka and flavourful Hosui in 1984.

Do you know that Nikkori pear can only be harvested in mid-October? Then stored for a long period of time until February, thus specialty and superiority of its unique fruit.

Japan also prides on their Sweet Potatoes, a purely Japanese - grown produce from the prefecture of Ibaraki - the second- biggest producer of sweet potatoes in Japan in terms of both production area and amount. The most widely grown variety of sweet potatoes in this prefecture is 'Beniazuma and Beniharuka', known for its characteristically soft and flaky texture.
Do you know each Nikkori Pear weight one kg?

Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Potatoes personally grown in Japan taste sweeter and fresher as it's tended to with care and consideration by Japanese farmers. You'll like the these agricultural products, retaining the sweetness and natural flavours of the pear and sweet potatoes.

If you like to know the price of the Nikkori Pear, it cost RM22.90 for each.
The Ibaraki Japanse Sweet Poatoes cost RM9.90 each packet.

Don't just read here, if you have interest to shop for them, head to AEON BIG. AEON BIG is the first hypermarket chain offering true Japanese produce.
