It's Thursday evening, how's everyone doing? Here's an update on a meaningful festive I attended yesterday.

In celebration of Syawal, leading pharmacy, health and beauty retailer Guardian Malaysia held an exclusive Aidilfitri celebration for 100 children from three orphanages across the Klang Vallery. The delightful evening of fun, festivity and food brings smile to the children, the event was held at The Place, One City.

As part of the programme, the children were also treated to learning the traditional art of ketupat weaving. Many enjoyed having their caricature drawn by an artist, took wefies at the event photo wall, as well as redeemed free movie tickets sponsored by MCT Berhad.

Can you spot the former 3R TV hosts?

The children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan and Perlindungan Nur Qaseh Malaysia, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim Al-Nasuha, and Pusat Jagaan Baitus Sakinah Wal Mahabbah enjoed a festive fare of sayur lodeh, rendang, serunding, lemang, ketupat, and traditional desserts such as dodol and wajik.

The evening was further accentuated with festive entertainment and antics by celebrities that included songstress and businesswoman Dato' Siti Nurhaliza, singer and actor Sean Ghazi, host Nazrudin Rahman, actor and singer Aiman Hakim Ridza, former radio announcers JD and Dilly, as well as formers 3R TV hosts - Masterchef Asia Celina Khor, scripwriter Rafidah Abdullah and Director of iM4U FM Kartini Kamalul Ariffin.

I can see the orphanage children happy together in the night, some of them are cuddling the cute pink bears too. Each pink bear has a message penned for them.

Bata shoes fair and Korean fair in Midvalley

How's everyone doing today? Are you feeling Monday blue? Yesterday, we went Midvalley shopping mall and one of the reason is shopping for my boys. I bought two pair of white shoes for my son, then two pairs of sandals for my man.
Men's sandals for my dear each pair normal price RM39.90, during the sale RM27.50 each pair sandals, so bought two pairs, white shoes for my son RM39.90 bought two pairs but for son there's promotion where two pairs only RM38.00. Almost forgot to add in there is RM5.72 6% GST charged of it, so total payment is RM93.00.

The sandals for man choice are limited. Bata fair, we used to purchase more shoes as they have more choice back then. The lighting in the hall was dark too, so I didn't want to see any ladies shoes. We didn't find any shoes that fit my 4 yrs old son.

As for me and sister-in-law we go try out the ladies Korean's dresses. We like it so much and we took a few to try out, it's free of charge to try them out and also you can use own phone to snap photos. They have Korean food to purchase, but because we are in hurry we didn't purchase any kimchi to try out.

I have been waiting to try out this Korean's outfit for a long time, didn't know there are having a fair there. It's my lucky day indeed that we have the chance to try out, they have men's outfit too but sadly my man doesn't want to try it out else we have a couple photo instead.

In the afternoon we have lunch at the food court, we were early so we have plenty of seats to choose from. In the late afternoon the place was pack and flooded with people.

Dangerous of having expandable toys

I am sure you saw and heard of expandable toys, those small toy that you need to put in water then it will expand to bigger over night or few days. These expandable toys are available in Malaysia but it is banned in UK.

Young children do not know the dangerous of this toy, they might consume it or swallow it. Young children if swallow this toy, it will expands in their stomach as fluids that make it expand and children will die because of this.

Some parents might not know of this that young children or toddler will take this to put in their mouth. As you know young children likes to put anything in their mouth. It's important to be aware of what's happening and always keep an eye on our children.

Just something to share with everyone, don't leave your children alone with this toy.

If you are insist on playing the expandable toys, get a empty bottle that you can sealed it after putting in the expandable toy and water. That's what I usually do, in fact we have this freebie expandable toy from local snacks food. It was a dinosaur expandable toy.

I like to watch movies acted by actor Qi Razali and actress Nora Danish. The movie is about a girl named Asyikin (Nora Danish), she lives with her sister and her dad in a village. His dad Pak Bidin (Kaza) is a very strict man, he loves both his daughters, somehow Asyikin's sister named Wani (Atikah Suhaime) who is still attending secondary school has fallen in love with a guy.

David Teo also actor in the movie, he is the Daddy Cool who loan money to people. Mus (Shuk Sjy) he falls in love with Wani but her dad is against her get along with the guy. Awie (Qi Razali) works outstation but he wasn't happy with his job, he got jobless and his money was robbed by a beggar in the night. Awie has no money and nearly given up on himself then he saw a banner about loaning money. He finds Daddy Cool to borrow RM3K, but he must find ways to return the money because his money was stolen in broad daylight. Daddy Cool is going to do something bad to Awie if he's not able to return the amount of money he loaned, as the money interest grows he then needs to pay RM6K instead of RM3K. It's a lot of money so how Mus and Awie going come up with this huge amount of money?

RM7.40 repair punctured tyre wheel

Yesterday morning I drove to nearest car's wheel repair shop to repair my car. Just half an hour of waiting and my car's tyre wheel is repaired. RM7.40 plus GST, I chosen to go SS18 the Lim Tayar Subang Jaya. The fees of car repair is stated on their glass door too. They have a paper notice with their price cost. If my car's wheel the hole is big, the cost will be more around RM27 to repair and patch the hole.

I am glad my car's wheel's rim still in good condition, my friend to me that it could cause serious damage if I continue driving a puncture wheel. Not just that I am sure safety's first for everyone on the road as well, you never know if anything going to happen is it better to get it repair. I was afraid too if my car's wheel gonna explode half way of driving. That's why I drive slow to go home, it was at night almost 10pm and there's no car tyre shop that open at that time.

I parked my car in the mall that time was CP5 higher level, I know there's a Citicars in the mall but it's at basement of the mall. Funny thing, I only recall that there is Citicars service in the mall after I reached home. Few months back, happened to my dear's car that he can't start his car engine in the Sunway Pyramid's mall. His car was parked not far from Citicars, he got his car change battery at the Citicars there. Another time, his friend's car too need to change car's battery in Empire Shopping Gallery.

Just sharing some info with you, so always check your car. Remember Safety's first.

Guardian Malaysia treated 100 children from three charity homes within Klang Valley

Last week I attended an event where Guardian Malaysia treated 100 children from three charity homes within Klang Valley to a delightful afternoon out in preparation of upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri. The event was held in Giant at Kinrara Puchong.

100 children aged 7 to 19 from Yayasan Chow Kit Kuala Lumpur, Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih Puchong and Rumah Safiyyah Shah Alam were treated to an afternoon out, which included a shopping spree and buka puasa dining. The children’s excitement was infectious, with lively chattering and laughter heard throughout the shopping aisles as 12 Guardian Malaysia team members assisted them with the daunting task of choosing from the myriads of Hari Raya goodies.
Guardian Health Advisor Aishah Yunos shared with the children the importance of staying healthy via an interactive health and nutrition talk. Topics of discussion included the benefits of drinking water, nutritional facts about food and how food choices affect health.
The health talk session by Guardian Health Advisor Siti Aishah Yunos before the shopping spree and buka puasa session.  The health talk about nutrition and its importance to good health would equip them into adulthood. Teaching them the facts about high nutrition food vs. those poor in nutritional value will help them make informed choices. They can put what they learn to test in this holy fasting month as it will contribute hugely to the difference between feeling energetic or lethargic throughout the days

PR & Government Relations Assistant Manager of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd, Farahani Failul Rahman with happy shoppers from charity homes.

Each child went home with RM100 worth of goodies, which included festive clothing, snack, toys, stationery, daily essentials and personal care products. Part of Guardian Malaysia's long-standing Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, the event was held under this year's theme Beramal Bersama Guardian.

A nail punctured my car's wheel

I am happy to be home sweet home, the moment I walked out of my car from the parking at Sunway Pyramid I saw my driver's side car's wheel half of the aired is gone. No kidding I thought my car wheel is losing its air. Few hours after I attended an event I came to my car and saw my car's wheel almost flattened. I drive slowly back home, I thought of going to nearest petrol station to pump air to the wheel. But I told my dear that I am coming home first.

My dear had dinner with his colleague and he just showered when I reach home. He checked my car's wheel and found a big nail stuck inside my wheel. Oh boy! This is bad as it's late almost 10pm the tyre shop is not open. So he had to change my flattened wheel with the replacement wheel which can only be used temporary.

Tomorrow I need to go nearest tyre shop to repair the wheel, I am not sure if it can be repair. If can't then I need to purchase a new wheel for my car. My dear's birthday today and he told me yesterday that today he's not coming home for dinner as he has dinner with is colleague. So I went for an event in the afternoon until night. I am glad I chosen the event that is nearest to me, imagine having a flatten tyre driving home if I choose to go another event which is in Midvalley.

Not long ago, I have a week off not going any events, it's truly a moment for myself, with friends and with my family.

Can you take a break from attending events? Yes you can! The decision is yours.

Parking at Sunway Pyramid today from around 3.00pm to 9.20pm it cost RM5. Today I have a good time with my blogger friends at the event, watched comedy movie Suamiku Jatuh Dari Langit and buffet dinner Ramadhan at Shogun, Sunway Pyramid.
